What can I expect when I come to AesthetiCare for diVa laser treatments in Kansas City?  Many clients who come to AesthetiCare seeking treatment for their intimate concerns, like urinary incontinence, vaginal dryness, or painful intercourse have heard of our diVa™ laser treatment, but are unsure of exactly what the procedure entails.

The diVa laser is an amazing vaginal therapy that uses state-of-the-art technology to resurface and renew vaginal tissues, from the inside & out.

What happens during diVa laser treatments in Kansas City?

Consultation

During your initial diVa consultation, we will give you a total overview of the treatment. This will include what to expect, and how to prepare. This may also include asking you to trim or shave pubic hair to prepare for your appointment.

Before Your Visit

Before your diVa laser treatment, we ask that you arrive freshly bathed and wearing loose cotton underwear. Please do not apply any creams or lotions on or near your pelvic area.

Ensuring Your Comfort

When you arrive at our office for treatment, we will begin by applying a topical numbing cream. This will ensure your comfort throughout the procedure.

Laser Treatment

Once you are numb, we begin the procedure by inserting the fully automated, ergonomic diVa laser device into the vaginal canal. This device is single-use only to ensure client safety and sterility of the procedure. It’s also equipped with a dilator that will remain stationary throughout the treatment to expand and flatten vaginal tissue while delivering diVa’s two laser frequencies at once for an amazing combined effect. The full treatment lasts 5 to 8 minutes on average.

Post-care for diVa laser treatments

Immediately after their quick and painless diVa laser treatments, most of our clients return to their normal daily routine without trouble, though some minor swelling, discharge, or spotting may be possible for several days after treatment.

You can bathe and shower right away with gentle shampoos and cleansers. However, we suggest refraining from sexual intercourse, vaginal penetration, and using tampons for 48 hours following your laser treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

To initially treat the symptoms of vaginal atrophy, stress urinary incontinence, or vaginal laxity, we typically recommend a series of three laser treatments with diVa to our clients. We space these treatments out 4 to 6 weeks to allow for proper tissue healing. Some clients may require more or less treatments initially.

After this initial series of treatments, clients can notice a significant improvement in their intimate concerns and symptoms. Once fully healed, the vagina will feel tighter, and more easily and naturally stimulated. Overall, our clients report feeling more in control of their body afterward.

To sustain the incredible results of diVa laser treatments in Kansas City, we recommend having a maintenance treatment once a year, or as otherwise recommended by your AesthetiCare provider.
