What Is Daxxify?
According to the product’s manufacturer, Revance Therapeutics, Daxxify (the brand name for DaxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm) is a beauty injection for the provisional improvement of moderate to severe frown lines and wrinkles in adults. It’s the first and only neuromodulator on the market powered by peptide technology and is 100% free of both human serum albumin and animal-based components.
How does it work? Daxxify injections target the muscles that hold wrinkles in place under your skin with a special formulation of botulinum toxin. Daxxify then works to block the nerve signal that tells the muscles to contract. This results in the weakening of the muscles responsible for wrinkles, which smooths them out and prevents new wrinkles from forming.
Why is this new treatment such a big deal, and how is it different from Botox and Dysport? Daxxify lasts nearly double the amount of time as the other botulinum toxin options on the market, with results lasting an average of six to nine months! While most of the other products are reported to last three to five months, most patients only get about a three-month effect.

How Does Daxxify Differ From Botox and Dysport?
Botox and other neuromodulators are made from human serum albumin. But Daxxify doesn’t contain any human or animal products and is instead made from peptides or amino acids. It’s suggested that the peptides in Daxxify help make its wrinkle-smoothing properties last longer than other neuromodulators. And, unlike Botox, Dysport and other neuromodulators, Daxxify needs no refrigeration and can be stored at room temperature.
