Dr. Christopher Robb

Chris W. Robb, MD PhD, FAAD is a co-founder of Skin and Allergy Center and SAC Cosmetic, with three locations in central Tennessee.

He did his undergraduate work at Baylor University and received a Ph.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Microbiology and Immunology where he focused his work on molecular biology and infectious diseases.

Dr. Robb earned his MD from Texas Tech University School of Medicine in 2003 and finished the Internal Medicine portion of his training at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.

Dr. Robb completed a Dermatology Residency at Vanderbilt University, where he served as chief resident his final year.

In addition to a his private practice, Dr. Robb is also a Volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Lincoln Memorial University DCOM.

Dr. Robb is a board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon who performs medical and surgical dermatology, MOHs surgery and cosmetic dermatology . He also participates in research efforts focusing on the physiologic effects of lasers in the skin.

Dr. Robb has a national and international reputation as a leader in the field of lasers and cosmetics, and teaches cosmetic lasers to doctors in Tennessee and nearly every state in the United States but also areas as distant as France, The Netherlands, Dubai, Russia, Australia, Canada and Thailand.

Matt Taranto

Matt entered the field of Aesthetics in 1996, opening Aesthetic Consulting Group as an independent rep group for non-surgical aesthetic equipment. He developed a territory in the Midwest that was consistently in the top 3 regions in the country in sales during this time. Matt has been a laser trainer for 21 years. In 2001 he opened AesthetiCare MedSpa in Kansas City. AesthetiCare is now one of the most successful stand-alone MedSpas in the country with over $6 Million a year in revenues in 2018. AesthetiCare has experienced double-digit growth 18 consecutive years.

In 2005, Matt transformed Aesthetic Consulting Group to Mint Aesthetics, partnering with his wife, Kathy Taranto. Kathy has 20 years of experience in aesthetics. Mint has now worked with well over 1200 clinics in North America. Mint focuses on beginning to advanced training for virtually all med spa treatments including lasers and injectables. Matt spends the majority of his time consulting clinics in marketing, personnel, performing consultations, retail product sales, equipment evaluation and price negotiation, etc. Matt and Kathy also speak at 40+ aesthetic meetings each year throughout the country and are considered one of the country’s top authorities in the business of non-surgical aesthetics.

Joel L. Cohen, MD

Joel L. Cohen, MD (FAAD, FACMS) is an internationally recognized expert on aesthetics and skin cancer. He is the Director of AboutSkin Dermatology and DermSurgery, and AboutSkin Research in metropolitan-Denver, Colorado. He was named a Top Dermatologist by US News and World Report, Castle Connelly Top Doctor (2013-2024), and voted by his peers as one of Denver’s Top Doctors in 5280 magazine 10-times. He is a Board-Certified Dermatologist, and Fellowship-trained in Mohs Surgery, Lasers and Cosmetic Dermatology.

Dr. Cohen has published over 306 medical articles and book chapters, and has has co-authored 3 academic textbooks. He lectures every month at national meetings as well as at many international congresses, and has participated in over 100 clinical trials including on key aesthetic lasers and devices as well as injectables. He is on the teaching faculty of the University of California Irvine as an Associate Professor of Dermatology. He also serves as one of the Medical Directors for Cosmetic Physician Partners (CPP).

Dr. Cohen has received many prestigious awards including the Melanoma Research Foundation Humanitarian of the Year Award, the ASDS Public Service Award, the ASDS Patient Safety Hero Award, the ASDS Excellence in Education Award, the ASCDAS Distinguished Service Award, and the ASDS Traveling Mentorship & Teaching Award.

He has been quoted in many newspapers & magazines including: Vogue, TIME, Glamour, Elle, Allure, The New York Times (x4), Reader’s Digest, Shape, USA Today, US News & World Report, InStyle, BuzzFeed, MSN.com, ABC.com, NewBeauty, Condé Nast, Men’s Health, Huffington Post, International Business Times, Consumer Reports (x8), SELF, Women’s Health and MORE Magazine. He serves on the NewBeauty Magazine medical and brian trust board, and is an editor for more than 10 academic journals.

He regularly appears on Denver TV stations (with over 75 appearances discussing aesthetic issues, dermatology, and skin cancer), and has been a guest on many segments of SiriusXM Doctor Radio. He was also featured on the Emmy Award winning show “The Doctors.”
