Regenerate Your Skin
Age Jet Advanced Plasma Skin Therapy
FDA-approved skin-resurfacing procedure that treats fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, skin laxity, hands, décolletage and neck. Age Jet is also the only device that is safe to treat both the upper and lower eyelids.
Age Jet is a type of plasma skin regeneration in which nitrogen gas creates a thermal injury deep in the skin. This means that the plasma preserves the outer layer of the skin until your new skin forms over the course of 10 days. Surface improvements appear soon after treatment.
Benefits of Age Jet Plasma
- Light to moderate downtime
- Non-ablative
- No scabbing or scarring
- Treats multiple skin types
- No eye shields required
- Very safe and highly effective

- Full Face

Procedure Time
- 30–45 minutes
Treatment Series
- Skin laxity is treated in as little as two treatments.
Recovery Time & Side Effects
- Approximately four to 10 days of downtime is to be expected after each treatment, but patients can resume their normal routine immediately following treatment. Patients should expect moderate to severe peeling, depending on the depth, and most report experiencing redness and tenderness to the treated area. During your consult, your provider will go into more detail regarding how they expect your skin to heal.
Results
- A patient should immediately expect to see tighter skin over the treated area. Over several weeks to a month, new skin surfaces as the regeneration effects progress – inevitably revealing rejuvenated, firmer skin.
How Age Jet Works
Prior to treatment, a topical numbing cream can be applied to combat any discomfort, and then plasma energy is released into the skin via a handpiece connected to the Age Jet machine. Controlled pulses then penetrate deep layers of the skin tissue through this nonablative approach. The entire treatment takes no more than an hour, and within four to 10 days, the treated skin heals to reveal regenerated youthful skin.
*Numbing anesthetic can be applied, but some treatments don’t require it, as the experience is comfortable to most patients.
The Age Jet Process
01
Confirmation
The provider greets the patient and ensures all necessary forms and photos have been taken. Before proceeding, the provider reviews the procedure with the patient and answers any questions.
02
Preparation & Treatment
Pre-treatment for both upper and lower eyelid: On the day of treatment, a light layer of topical anesthetic is applied for 15 to 20 minutes and then removed, followed by the removal of corrective lenses (if any).
Upper eyelid treatment: The patient raises their eyebrows, at which point the provider covers the brow with wet gauze or Aquaphor. The provider then holds the upper lid closed by using a silicone facial spreader to grip the lid during the treatment while covering the lashes.
Lower eyelid treatment: The patient closes their eyes, and the provider has the patient use gauze to pull down on the cheek to expose and stretch the lax under the eye tissue. The leading edge of the silicone facial spreader is then placed under the lower lashes.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Your Customized Treatment Plan
Age Jet treatments (along with mostly everything we offer at AesthetiCare) are completely customized to YOU. At your complimentary consultation, you will be able to discuss with your provider your personal goals, area(s) to be treated, skin type, skin’s thickness, sensitivity, and tolerance to possible social downtime. Just one treatment, at any energy level, will improve your skin. Below helps break down what to expect.
PRO TIP: social downtime for the face is typically less than other body parts, for example the neck, which may take twice as long for darkening and shedding to resolve.
Lowest Energy Treatment
Expectations – improvement to appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, or dark circles plus increased skin permeability, which aids topical product effectiveness. Active acne-causing bacteria is mitigated. Your skin will appear refined.
Medical Downtime – none
Social Downtime – transient redness, maybe swelling, and feeling of skin tightness/dryness may last for 1-3 days. We will discuss with you a home moisturizing regimen. After a few days, you may experience shedding of the skin.
Treatments Needed – typically three treatments spaced about one month apart.
Numbing – not needed
Medium Energy Treatment
Expectations – experience noticeable improvement to signs of aging, wrinkles, lines, and age spots.
Medical Downtime – none to limited
Social Downtime – redness, maybe swelling, and feeling of skin tightness/dryness may last for 2-5 days. We will discuss with you a home moisturizing regimen. After a few days, you may experience shedding and/or darkening of the skin.
Treatments Needed – typically one to two treatments spaced about one month apart.
Numbing – likely not needed, although a topical anesthetic may be applied.
High Energy Treatments
Expectations – results comparable to ablative treatments, but with far less downtime and risk of post-treatment complications. Improvements to your overall skin health and appearance will be significant and will include contouring and tightening.
Medical Downtime – none to limited
Social Downtime – redness, maybe swelling, and feeling of skin tightness/dryness may last for 4-10 days. We will discuss with you a home moisturizing regimen. After a few days, you’ll experience shedding and/or darkening of the skin. Around day six, patients feel confident with makeup to participate in Zoom meetings.
Treatments Needed – typically one treatment.
Numbing – likely not needed, although a topical anesthetic may be applied.
