Ultherapy is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive procedure that creates lift in the brow face and neck. Ultherapy utilizes focused ultrasound to stimulate the growth of new collagen deep within the skin to lift and tighten skin. During your free consultation at our Leawood or Liberty office, we will listen to your goals for treatment to create a personalized Ultherapy plan to meet those goals.
The Ulthera system uses a hand piece that comes in contact with the skin and delivers the ultrasound energy over a special conducting gel. A topical anesthetic and over-the-counter pain medication (such as Advil) is used for client comfort.
Most people see improvement quickly, and results continue to improve for 6 to 9 months afterwards. We usually see the best results 6 months post-treatment.
You will comfortably lie back in our Leawood or North Kansas City office. Numbing cream is applied to the skin. The treatment area is cleansed and marked.
Highly focused ultrasound bypasses the surface of the skin to deliver energy at the correct depths. This energy triggers a natural response under the skin, jump starting the regenerative process that produces fresh, new collagen.
We will schedule 3 and 6 month follow-up photography appointments to ensure patient satisfaction and effective results.
The patient doesn't have post-care responsibilities. A brochure is given to the patient on what to expect after treatment and possible side effects they can experience.
There is no downtime required for this procedure.

How long Ultherapy lasts depends on a number of factors. On average, the results of Ultherapy can last 1 to 2 years. The actual results will vary according to the condition of your skin and your age.
There may be slight redness for up to an hour or so following the treatment. You may have tenderness in the treated area for up to 1 to 2 weeks post treatment. There can also be slight swelling or bruising, though this is rare.
A recent software upgrade called Ultherapy Amplify now affords a more comfortable procedure. While comfort thresholds vary from patient to patient, most patients now report that the procedure is quite tolerable. If and when any discomfort does occur, it happens while the ultrasound energy is being delivered. This sensation is temporary and is a positive signal that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Your provider will make the experience as pleasant as possible, such as premedication and a topical numbing agent. Patients tell us they leave comfortable and excited about the Ulthera benefits to come.
Ultherapy improves laxity and creates lift in the skin in the face, neck and chest areas. It is safe for all skin types.
