AesthetiCare Medspa + Wellness Named Kansas City’s #1 Best Place to Work for the Second Year in a Row
For the second year in a row, AesthetiCare Medspa + Wellness has been named the No. 1 Best Place to Work in the Small Business category by the Kansas City Business Journal.
Winning once was an incredible honor. To earn the top spot again, while continuing to grow our team and expand to four Kansas City-area locations, makes this recognition even more meaningful.
And what makes this award especially important to us is how it’s determined: by our employees.
An Award Built on Employee Feedback
The Kansas City Business Journal’s 2026 Best Places to Work Awards recognized 53 Kansas City-area companies across five size categories. Honorees were determined through employee surveys facilitated by Quantum Workplace, with team members weighing in on areas including whether they feel valued, leadership and manager effectiveness, and their overall workplace experience.
Nearly 600 people gathered at Arrowhead Stadium to celebrate this year’s honorees, where AesthetiCare was announced as the No. 1 company in the Small Business category.
As the Kansas City Business Journal shared in its coverage, AesthetiCare has now grown to approximately 80 employees across four locations, including one very special team member who has been here since the beginning.
Our first employee, Judy Ribbey, RN, joined AesthetiCare in 2001 and remains part of our team today.
That kind of longevity represents something we have always believed: building an exceptional company starts with taking exceptional care of the people who work there.
“Your No. 1 Customer Truly Is Your Staff.”
During the awards celebration, AesthetiCare CEO and owner Matt Taranto was invited on stage to talk about the culture behind the recognition.
“It’s really what we’re most proud of. We have created a culture that people don’t want to leave.”
Matt also shared a philosophy that has guided AesthetiCare throughout its growth:
“Your No. 1 customer truly is your staff. And when the staff is happy, joyful and energetic, our clients feel that.”
That philosophy extends beyond creating a fun place to work.
Our goal is to recognize that every person on our team has a life outside of AesthetiCare, with families, goals, challenges and accomplishments of their own. We want our employees to know they are valued as people first, not simply for the role they perform within the company.
Growing Without Losing What Makes AesthetiCare Special
Over the past 25 years, AesthetiCare has evolved from one location and a small team into one of Kansas City’s largest aesthetic and wellness practices.
Growth brings exciting opportunities, but it also creates an important responsibility: protecting the culture that got us here.
That means continuing to invest in education and professional development, creating opportunities for our team to grow, offering meaningful benefits, celebrating wins together and yes, still enjoying weekly team lunches and massage chairs in the breakroom.
Most importantly, it means hiring great people and creating an environment where they want to stay.
In an industry built around relationships, continuity matters. Our clients develop relationships with our physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, aestheticians and team members. When talented people build their careers here, our clients benefit from that experience and connection too.
Two Years. Two No. 1 Wins. One Incredible Team.
Being named a Kansas City Business Journal Best Place to Work is an honor.
Being ranked No. 1 two years in a row is something we are incredibly proud of.
But the award itself isn’t the accomplishment. The culture our team has created together is.
To every person who has chosen to build their career at AesthetiCare, thank you for bringing your talent, energy, ideas and heart to work every day.
And to our clients, thank you for continuing to trust and support the people behind AesthetiCare.
We’re honored to represent Kansas City, grateful for our incredible team, and very proud to once again be able to say:
AesthetiCare is Kansas City’s No. 1 Best Place to Work in the Small Business category. Two years running.
