Achieve Enviable, Glowing Skin With RF Microneedling In Kansas City At AesthetiCare

As we age, we can often become frustrated with dull or lackluster skin that isn’t as supple, lifted, or healthy-looking as it once was.

If you are seeking a nonsurgical, minimally-invasive way to address your concerns and gain more confidence in your skin, the experienced team at AesthetiCare may be able to help by using their INTRAcel treatment, which utilizes RF microneedling in Kansas City.

Using our professional RF microneedling device, INTRAcel, we can use fractional radio frequency technology to provide clients with RF microneedling that delivers the results they are looking for – all year round.

How does RF microneedling with INTRAcel differ from traditional microneedling?

Traditional microneedling involves the use of a device with a handpiece that uses tiny, disposable needle tips to create micro-wounds on skin’s surface to trigger the body’s natural healing response.

Radiofrequency (or RF) microneedling like that performed with an INTRAcel device enhances the benefits of traditional microneedling with added radio frequency energy. This energy is emitted from the tips of the needles to deliver all the effects of traditional microneedling, with the added benefit of enhanced skin tightening and collagen stimulating results.  Think of microneedling on steroids!

In order to achieve this, the RF energy emitted by the needles safely heats the dermis layer of the skin to 60°C (140°F) to jumpstart the body’s production of collagen and elastin to give the skin a visibly firmer appearance.

In addition to the obvious benefits of increased collagen and elastin production, INTRAcel’s ability to keep the skin surrounding the treated area intact minimizes the downtime you experience from your RF microneedling in Kansas City at AesthetiCare.  Most our clients look great within 12-24 hours.

INTRAcel is also unlike other fractional laser treatments in that there is dramatically less pain and recovery time associated with this procedure. Plus, we are able to offer this treatment in the summer months, giving you many more options for scheduling your appointment.

How to know if RF microneedling in Kansas City is right for you

RF microneedling is considered safe and beneficial for all skin types and complexions, though it is important to note that results are not instant. We may recommend a series of treatments in order to fully address your concerns.

Acne scars, uneven skin tone & texture, stretch marks, sun damage, and fine lines and wrinkles can be frustrating and difficult, if not impossible, to treat on your own. If you are struggling with any of these skin concerns, RF microneedling with INTRAcel may be the treatment you have been looking for.

Consider alternative treatments if…

RF microneedling may not be ideal for everyone all the time. If you are currently experiencing active acne, have open wounds, have psoriasis or eczema, or have recently had any radiation therapy, there may be better options for you at AesthetiCare than RF microneedling in Kansas City.

RF microneedling is also not recommended for pregnant women or those who have trouble healing.

Do at-home microneedle rollers produce the same results as RF microneedling in Kansas City with INTRAcel?

Not even close.

While at-home microneedle rollers are sometimes used to enhance the effects of your topical serums and moisturizers, they cannot come close to matching the numerous benefits of professional RF microneedling.

Our equipment uses perfectly spaced, conductive microneedles that emit high-energy radiofrequency waves to penetrate the skin deeper and more evenly. INTRAcel is a much more aggressive (and therefore more effective) RF microneedling treatment. Additionally, performing an abrasive treatment like this at home, rather than in a sterile clinical environment, greatly increases your chance for infection or scarring.

According to the American Academy of Dermatologists, you may be able to, at best, achieve a brighter complexion with these devices. However, do not expect to use one of these at-home rollers to stimulate collagen production or treat any lines or wrinkles like you would with RF microneedling in Kansas City at AesthetiCare.

What happens during an RF microneedling treatment?

Consultation

All AesthetiCare clients first receive a consultation and skin analysis from one of our experienced aestheticians to evaluate their unique skin type and features, and to discuss their desires and goals for RF microneedling. From there, we will walk you through the procedure(s) and treatment plan we recommend and can address any of your remaining concerns.

Pre-Procedure

Before your appointment for RF microneedling in Kansas City, we will ask that you:

  • Discontinue use any topical antibiotics products for 3 to 5 days before your appointment
  • Avoid anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen and Advil for 3 days
  • Do not have any BBL or laser procedures, and do not tan or go in the sun without SPF protection for 2 weeks
  • Avoid blood-thinners like aspirin, fish oil, or vitamin E supplements for 3-4 days prior to your treatment.. If you are taking these under direction of a physician, discuss with them before discontinuing use

Prepping the treatment area

To begin the RF microneedling procedure, we will apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment area to minimize any discomfort you may experience.

RF Microneedling

Using the latest fractional radiofrequency technology, our INTRAcel microneedling devices goes to work evenly treating your skin. The whole session lasts about 30 minutes, during which you will feel slight heating and some pressure on the treated area that most clients tolerate very well.

What happens afterwards

There is no required downtime with RF microneedling, and you are free to return to your regular activities after your treatment. However, we do recommend that you keep the treated skin very clean and unwashed until the following day. We also recommend taking the evening off from social activities and refraining from makeup or skincare treatments for 24 hours post-treatment.

Does RF microneedling hurt?

Thanks to the topical numbing cream we apply before the treatment, most discomfort will be minimized. Following the RF microneedling procedure, your skin may be red and inflamed with some pinpoint bleeding. Clients report their skin feels as though they had a sunburn for 12 to 24 hours after the microneedling is performed.

Because INTRAcel delivers energy below the surface of the skin, little to no downtime is expected, unlike other aesthetic laser treatments which require you to take off work for days or sometimes over a week depending on your skin’s sensitivity.

When will results of RF microneedling be seen?

While you will notice visibly brighter and tighter skin from your first RF microneedling session at AesthetiCare, most clients achieve the best results after a series of 3 to 4 RF microneedling treatments.

While both methods show immediate results, the collagen and elastin-boosting benefits of using INTRAcel vs. traditional microneedling will continue to improve for 3-6 months post-session, due to the radiofrequency technology in the needles. Results will also vary depending on how quickly your skin cells regenerate and produce new collagen and elastin.

After your initial treatments to achieve the results you desire, we recommend having a maintenance treatment every 6 – 12 months to ensure the results of your RF microneedling treatment are sustained.

Improve results by combining RF microneedling in Kansas City with other treatments at AesthetiCare

AesthetiCare offers numerous skin resurfacing and rejuvenation treatments, many of which can be complemented by RF microneedling in Kansas City.

To get the most out of your RF microneedling and injectable treatments, and to achieve a dramatically younger appearance, you may consider having BOTOX® or Dysport® injections to relax overactive muscles and treat dynamic wrinkles.

Then, many of our clients follow up their RF microneedling treatments with dermal fillers to replace lost volume in the face and to further reduce wrinkles.

If you have extensive sun damage or pigmentation you’d like to address, we can pair your RF microneedling treatments with broad band light (BBL) treatments like Forever Young BBL. This revolutionary procedure delivers light energy deep into the skin to more completely address brown spots and correct sun damage.

Finally, treat your beautiful new skin to a Salt Facial, HydraFacial MD™, or one of our other customizable facials the week after your RF microneedling treatment to brighten the complexion, promote healthy skin, and combat exposure to environmental pollutants. RF microneedling results can be further maintained with routine monthly treatments at AesthetiCare.

When you visit AesthetiCare for your consultation, we’ll review all of these suggestions and more to help you maximize the results of RF microneedling.
