The miraDry Process

How Does miraDry Work?

MiraDry uses thermal energy to create heat in the area where bothersome sweat, odor, and hair glands live and safely eliminates them. The miraDry treatment utilizes a sophisticated device that has many components, all vital to safe and effective treatments. Our certified provider is highly trained and capable of operating the device.

1

Prep the Skin

The treatment area is measured, outlined, disinfected, and numbed using local anesthesia. A thin layer of lubricant is placed on the area to ensure proper seal between the device and the skin.

2

Elimination of Sweat and Odor Glands

The miraDry bioTip is placed and aligned with a template to stabilize and treat the affected areas. The client may experience warmth or heat during the process.

3

Ensure Lasting Results

Depending on your level of sweat and odor, our experienced providers may discuss additional treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions

Don’t I need sweat glands?

While your body does need sweat glands to cool itself, your body has 2-4 million sweat glands – only about 2% are found in your underarms. Eliminating this 2% of sweat glands will not affect your body’s ability to cool itself. With miraDry, you will experience the many benefits of reducing sweat in the underarm area, but you will continue to sweat in other areas of your body.
