Performed by one of our experienced registered nurses, Sculptra cellulite therapy treats the primary structural cause of cellulite for a smooth, healthy look and long-lasting results.
Clinical studies show no recurrence of cellulite after three years. Due to those studies, there should never be a recurrence of the treated cellulite. During your initial consultation for Sculptra cellulite therapy at our Kansas City or Liberty office, we will evaluate your cellulite and goals to create a treatment plan tailored to you.
Cellulite anywhere on the thighs and buttocks
The only downtime associated with Sculptra cellulite therapy is some minor bruising and swelling for up to 10 days following treatment. Your provider may also suggest wearing compression garments for a short time to speed up healing, but otherwise, you’re free to resume a normal lifestyle.
Your results from a Sculptra cellulite therapy treatment appear gradually, with collagen continuing to build in the treated area up to 24 months following treatment. Typically, 2 to 4 Sculptra vials* spread between 2 treatment sessions are recommended. Once you achieve your final results, they can last anywhere from 2 to 5 years.

Over 80% of women experience cellulite – the creation of small dimples caused by fat cells that swell when trapped near the surface of the skin. Sculptra cellulite therapy uses a method known as subcision – a process that involves inserting a small needle into the affected area and injecting Sculptra, a PLLA (poly-l-lactic acid), to kickstart the production of natural collagen. This process plumps out dimples for visibly smooth skin.
Patients that combine treatments see better, faster results than doing one treatment alone. Talk to one of our professional team members today about potential cost savings when you book multiple treatments together!
01
We will begin by marking the affected areas while the client is in a standing position. We will also administer any pre-medication indicated by the physician.
02
The provider inserts a microblade to treat the connective bands just under the skin. Sculptra (poly-l-lactic acid) is then injected into the layers under the skin to stimulate collagen growth.
03
The client will wear a compression garment for 1-2 weeks post procedure. Most clients can go back to work the day after the treatments. Clients will be required to perform multiple post treatment massages on the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day for 5 days post initial treatment. This will maximize treatment results.
04
We will schedule a follow-up photo session 60-90 days post treatment.
Results can be seen as quickly as the first week and improves over time. Results typically continue to last for upwards of 2-5 years. Maintenance treatments can be needed to maintain long term results pending personal expectations.
Sculptra does not involve an operating room or general anesthesia. It relies on a minimally invasive, small needle-sized device to inject a (poly-l-lactic acid) just beneath the surface of the skin.
The insertion point will be treated with lidocaine (injected) by your provider to allow for a more comfortable treatment. After this, there is little discomfort during the treatment.
There is limited downtime associated with Sculptra cellulite therapy. Some patients experience initial soreness and tenderness after numbing has subsided, but these side effects resolve quickly with time. Most patients return to work the day following treatment.
