Ardeth & Taylor – Auntie & Niecie
We’d like to introduce you to Ardeth Arman and Taylor Nelson. They have been coworkers for a little over a year now, but their relationship goes far beyond that…since Taylor’s birth actually! They are ‘auntie’ and ‘niecie.’ “We have been hopelessly in love since 1990, spending all sorts of hours together cooking, having sleepovers, and driving around belting out our favorite songs.” Ardeth tells us.
Ardeth has been working at AesthetiCare since 2012 as an RN performing a wide variety of treatments and specializing in Sclerotherapy. Several times over the years she tried to recruit her niece, Taylor, to come work with her. It finally came to fruition in 2015 when Taylor applied at AesthetiCare. Taylor now works at the front desk and does design work for us.
The two have loved being able to see each other every day. The hardest thing for Taylor about working with Ardeth has been to learn to call her by her name. “Even though new clients aren’t always familiar with the name ‘Ardeth’ (it means ‘field of flowers’), they would really be thrown for a loop if I said, ‘Auntie is available on that day’.” Taylor shared.
Most recently they have been working on writing and illustrating a series of children’s books together. Since March when Taylor gave birth to her first, baby Claire, she hasn’t been able to work as much. Thankfully, “Auntie Honey” (a.k.a. Ardeth) gets to watch baby Claire on Mondays (along with her daughters Lydia and Audrey) so the love affair continues! We sure love having them both on staff at AesthetiCare. Do you dread putting on your shorts or bathing suit? Nearly 98% of adult women have the common lumps, bumps, and marks that come with cellulite on the backs of their thighs as well as their butt. Cellulite affects a large majority of women, even of the fittest, and has proved to be hard to get rid of, until now!
AesthetiCare is one of the first in Kansas City to offer Cellfina, the new FDA approved, minimally invasive, one-time procedure clinically proven to improve the appearance of cellulite. It approaches the cellulite issue in a different way than other cellulite treatments that are only temporary fixes. The Cellfina™ System treats the primary structural cause of cellulite—the connective bands woven throughout fatty tissue in the thighs and backside. These tight bands pull down the skin, creating the creases you see on the surface of the skin. Similar to a rubber band under tension, once released, the treated skin bounces back to smooth itself out.
Depending on the size of the area being treated, the procedure can be completed in less than an hour. During the procedure, we treat, on average, 20 to 30 dimples.
