Since 2001, AesthetiCare Medspa + Wellness has been transforming lives through advanced aesthetic treatments and comprehensive wellness services. Founded by Matt Taranto with a vision to bring world-class medical aesthetics to the Kansas City area, we’ve grown from a single location into one of the largest and most respected aesthetic centers in the country. Today, our three locations in Kansas City, Liberty and Lenexa serve thousands of clients each year with an unbroken streak of double-digit growth for 20 consecutive years.

Our Story

Matt Taranto entered the field of aesthetics in 1996, opening Aesthetic Consulting Group as an independent representative for non-surgical aesthetic equipment. His expertise quickly established him as a leader in the industry, with his Midwest territory consistently ranking in the top three regions nationwide for aesthetic equipment sales. Drawing on decades of experience as an aesthetic trainer and consultant, Matt opened AesthetiCare MedSpa in 2001 with a commitment to delivering results-driven care backed by the latest technology and clinical expertise.

What began as a single clinic in the early 2000s has since evolved into a comprehensive aesthetic and wellness destination. We’ve built our reputation on a foundation of clinical excellence, personalized care and an unwavering commitment to helping each client achieve their unique aesthetic and wellness goals.

In 2014, Matt and his wife, Kathy, transformed Aesthetic Consulting Group into Mint Aesthetics, establishing an on-site national training facility at AesthetiCare. We’ve trained and consulted with over 2,500 clinics throughout North America, offering beginning to advanced training programs that set industry standards.

Community Impact and Giving Back

Since day one, we’ve believed firmly in partnering with organizations that commit themselves to truly meaningful causes. This is why we’ve donated over $975,000 in treatment donations to local nonprofit organizations since our founding, including more than $175,000 to the Rose Brooks Foundation and support for more than 350 different causes.

We’re particularly proud of our long-standing partnership with the Rose Brooks Foundation, a center for domestic violence that helps break the cycle of abuse so individuals and families can live free of violence. Since 2012, we’ve run multiple campaigns and donation drives to provide both financial support and needed goods. Our owners serve as active members at Rose Brooks’ charitable events, acting as Presenting Partners at their annual gala and donating treatment packages at event auctions.

We also support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City, recognizing the critical role mentorship plays in a child’s development. Matt and Kathy Taranto became a Big Couple in 2020, serving as friends, mentors and role models to help children and teens gain greater self-confidence. Finally, we partner with the Deron Cherry Foundation to adopt families during the holidays, shopping for gifts and helping deliver to families in need throughout the Kansas City area.
