Our roots as the best med spa in Kansas City
We opened AesthetiCare in 2001 as one of the first med spas in Kansas City. Since then, we’ve grown to be one of the largest aesthetic centers in the country. Along with being dubbed the best med spa in Kansas City by Kansas City magazine, we are also one of the top 10 med spas by the American Med Spa Association!
We base our success on a simple philosophy: offer the most effective treatments available provided by highly trained staff, all layered with exceptional customer service.
This approach has carried AesthetiCare to where it is today, and we couldn’t be more proud of what our amazing team has achieved over the years

To offer the best services, we need the best providers. This is why we spend $60,000 to $80,000 annually to train our team and provide further professional development. This keeps us up-to-date on the latest techniques, procedures, and advancements in the aesthetics industry so our providers can deliver the best service possible for our clients!
We also have a highly qualified and experienced advisory board that includes:
- Dr. Jay Burns – Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
- Dr. Christopher Robb – Board Certified Dermatologist & Cosmetic Surgeon
- Dr. Amy Carter – Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist
Our co-founders and managing partners Matt Taranto and Kathy Taranto complete this advisory board; this team ensures AesthetiCare is always following the best protocols and offering the best treatments available.
AesthetiCare is a national aesthetics training center
Not everyone knows AesthetiCare is actually a national training center for other med spas! We have trained over 1600 other clinics for lasers, injectables, facials, and other aesthetic treatments. We take pride in being a go-to resource for other skin clinics so they can deliver the best and most advanced techniques with in-depth training.
Our amount of service offerings
For many clinics, they might have 4 to 5 FDA-cleared devices at their disposal for their service offerings. AesthetiCare has 36 FDA-cleared devices (and counting!) so we can offer the best of the best.

Speaking of Leawood and Liberty, we are so proud to be a part of these two communities and serve the greater metropolitan area as the best med spa in Kansas City. Located in Leawood, Kansas, our original location is 11,000 square feet!
Our newest location is in Liberty, Missouri; we are so excited to be a part of the vibrant and fast-growing community of Liberty.
Thorough complimentary consultations
For all new clients, we offer a complimentary one-hour consultation and skin evaluation. You’ll meet with one of our skin professionals as we complete a comprehensive skin analysis using our VISIA photo imaging technology. This technology is so advanced that it reveals your skin’s “true age” and maps out specific areas of concern so we can give the best treatment recommendations for you!
Along with the VISIA skin analysis, we will also:
- Offer a thorough history of our clinic, staff, and treatments
- Educate you about the largest organ in the human body: your skin!
- Discuss your skincare concerns
- Review before and after photos from clients who have received our services
- Provide a long-term skincare plan that includes both product and treatment recommendations
We provide these free consultations so first-time clients can really get something out of the consultation. Whether you choose to book services or just leave with a more thorough understanding of your skin and how to care for it, we want it to be productive for you! You’re in the hands of seasoned professionals from your first visit at AesthetiCare.
If you’re not quite ready for an in-person consultation, we also offer instant virtual consultations through our website! This easy tool has you choose your treatment area(s) and specific concerns. Once you finish, you’ll receive a confidential list of treatment recommendations tailored to your preferences!
Client education
Along with our in-depth consultation process, we also care a lot about providing other tools and resources for client education. We don’t want to hide behind “smoke and mirrors” with our services. We want our clients to understand how these treatments work in-depth!

- Educational (and fun!) events to spread the word on our procedures
